History of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports was established in accordance with the Reorganization of Ministry, Sub-Ministry, and Department Act, B.E. 2545 (2002) Chapter 5 Section 14 that appointed the Ministry of Tourism and Sports as an authority to be responsible for raising and developing the industry of tourism, sports, sport and recreational education, and other government services as required by law along with appointing authorities to take part in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in accordance with the government duty of Section 15 as follows

4. Office of Sports Development

in accordance with the Royal Decree on Transfer of Official Administration and Authorities to follow the Reorganization of Ministry, Sub-Ministry, and Department Act, B.E. 2545 (2002) Chapter 4 from Section 22 to Section 26 that commands transferring the properties, liability budget, rights, obligation, government officers, employees, and manpower of Department of Physical Education of the Ministry of Education (not including the Girl Guide and Boy Scout Divisions) to departmentally take part under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, to Section 27 that commands transferring the promotion duty of film industry in Public Relations Department as the Office of Tourism Development, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, to Section 28 that commands transferring the authority of the minister that covers government departments, to come under the Minister of Tourism and Sports, as follows

Apart from transferring such authorities clearly mentioned, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports will permanently take part in legal operations that will no longer be under the minister as follows
